Greg Swinney accepted the call as Ministry Facilitator of Crossroads International Student Ministries in 2010, but his passion to reach out to international college students started many years earlier. As Statewide Ministry Director with Christian Student Fellowship for 26 years, he led the outreach efforts on five university campuses throughout Nebraska particularly in Kearney, NE where campus ministries from across the country have sent interns to train in this unique setting in the Midwest.

Each year in campus ministry increased Greg’s desire to pursue his passion of nationwide outreach to international students. These gifted students come from influential homes and are eager to meet Americans. He saw their loneliness as students who were so far from their families, shared the joy as friendships formed, quietly chatted as they asked questions about Christianity, and opened doors of opportunity as students came closer and closer to following Jesus. As more and more internationals stepped out in faith into the waters of baptism, Greg knew the need could not be met in Nebraska alone. Along with a newly formed national Board of Directors, Greg and his wife, Laurie, established a new national ministry called Crossroads International Student Ministries. They assist churches, Bible Colleges and campus ministries across the nation through informing, training, networking and providing resources in ministry with international students.

A native of Nebraska, Greg received his bachelor’s degree from Nebraska Christian College, a Master of Arts Degree in New Testament Studies from Cincinnati Christian Seminary, and a Master of Arts Degree in Communication from the University of Nebraska. He regularly teaches at the University of Nebraska/Kearney as an adjunct professor in the area of technology and communication.

Greg’s role with Crossroads is that of an equipper who assists in casting the vision for the organization in reaching over one million international students and visiting scholars currently studying in the United States.

Over the years Greg has worked to provide quality materials for Bible study and personal spiritual growth for both American and international students. His writings have found their way into publications such as the Christian Standard, the Lookout Magazine, and the Nebraska Speech Communication Journal. His book, The Solid Foundations Spiritual Notebook, (now with over ten thousand in print) was published by Standard Publishing. Available through Amazon.com, this book gives an individual a tool to help grow spiritual through journaling. Taking Education Higher (one of the few books that is solely dedicated to training campus ministers) was coordinated by Greg as he edited the project. His most recent book, The Joyful Surrender, is now being used as a personal or small group Bible study to answer basic questions on the subject of the Biblical perspective on baptism.

The Association of College Ministries, a global network of over 100 campus ministries, asked Greg to serve as their National Representative. He assists campus ministries through personal coaching, resource provision, and national visibility. Working with an executive committee, Greg helps cast a vision for the future of campus ministry, as well as, strategically plan national training events.

In 2015-6, the Overseas Security Advisory Council, a US Department of State/Diplomatic Security Agency, appointed Greg to serve as a steering committee member for their Faith Based Organization working group. Along with a group of national leaders, Greg worked to improve the safety and security of religious workers serving abroad in sensitive areas of the world.

He has spoken in twenty three states and five foreign countries.  Most recently he served as a visiting faculty member in the international summer school at Hanyang University in Seoul, South Korea. Short-term mission work trips with university students are important to Greg and he has helped coordinate relief efforts and Christian mission work in Mexico, Haiti, Pakistan, Romania, Japan, Kenya, and China. Prior to his work in campus ministry, Greg served churches in Nebraska, Iowa, Ohio, Kentucky, and Kansas.

In 2015, Greg was invited to join the International Conference on Missions (ICOM) team as the RISE Project was kicked off at ICOM 2016.  Refugee and International Student Engagement (RISE) would bring an awakening to the church as resources began to be distributed nationwide on international student outreach.  (For more information on the RISE project, visit www.theriseproject.com)

Greg’s wife, Laurie, is an Accounting Professor at the University of Nebraska/Kearney, and has prepared countless meals for groups of international students as she opens their home and their hearts for these young adults. Greg and Laurie have two grown children, Beth and Nathan.

Christy Dallakoti

Christy has always had a love for campus ministry, and was involved in Christian Student Fellowship as a student at Colorado State University.  After college she served in campus ministry on the campus of Colorado State University, University of Northern Colorado. University of Nebraska at Kearney and Northeast Community College. Christy spent 1 ˝ years serving on the Board of CSF before moving to Norfolk in Jan. of 2003.  She and her husband Hari moved to Colorado where they own UPS stores and are heavily involved in ministry at the Mountainview Christian Church.

As the need became more and more apparent in the Denver area colleges for outreach to international students, Christy joined the staff as part-time campus minister.  She and Hari have 3 children, Angela, Andrew and Alycia.  Christy says, " I love being involved in the lives of college students; discipling them, watching them grow in their walk with Christ or just hanging out with them.  Hari and I love to open up our home to college students and minister to them any way that we can.  I am excited for what God is going to do on the campuses in Colorado. "
